Comet Shipping Agencies Nigeria Limited, founded in 1984 by General T Y Danjuma, originally served as an agent for Nigeria American Line (NAL). Today, after more than 35 years, it has become one of the most prominent independent agents in Nigeria, boasting extensive experience in the handling of all types of vessels and cargo. In 2009, the company successfully managed over 450 vessels at the ports of Lagos, Port Harcourt, Calabar, and Warri.
In 2011 Comet handled over 140 vessels at the ports of Lagos, Port Harcourt, Calabar and Warri.

Clearing And Forwarding
Comet Shipping Agency is licensed with Nigeria’s Customs & Excise to operate as a clearing and forwarding agent for both sea and air freight. For selected customers Comet can offer a complete door-to-door service, from opening the Form M, arranging shipping, customs clearance, payment of duty and delivery direct to customers’ premises. For extremely urgent air freight items, such as perishables, Comet can offer a same day clearance service.
