Resumption of Clipper service between Brazil and Nigeria

The arrival of MV Cec Morning V. 11 carrying a cargo of locomotives from Brazil on 26 May 2010 marks the resumption of Clipper services between Brazil and Nigeria. The vessel’s agent, Comet Shipping Agencies Nigeria Limited confirmed that the ship arrived in Lagos on 26 May 2010. Mr PL Carrodano (Managing Director, NAL-Comet Group) commented;

‘MV Cec Morning V. 11 carrying a cargo of locomotives  and containers for an important Nigerian Importer, marks the resumption of containers and general cargo services by Clipper Group between Brazil and Nigeria. The vessel’s agent, Comet Shipping Agencies Nigeria Limited confirmed that the ship is due to arrive in Lagos on 26 May 2010. Mr PL Carrodano (Managing Director, NAL-Comet Group) commented; The resumption of service by Clipper  is very important for both countries as it enables Importers and Exporters to utilize a regular services for break-bulk cargo which was lacking after its suspension over 2 years ago . Our parent company, Nigeria America Line still maintain very close ties with Brazil. As a founding member of the Brazil-Nigeria Freight Conference, NAL associated with prominent Carriers like Clipper Group and ensured continuation of service between Brazil and Nigeria. This service in fact was discontinued by all other players in the same trade. Comet, then was appointed general agent in Nigeria for Clipper service.’
